Working in partnership with Essex Music Services and Colchester’s Lion Walk, Colchester Musicircus will be the first event of its kind in the county of Essex, and there are plenty of ways that businesses and organisations can get involved in a truly special music spectacular.

The concept of Musicircus originated in America. A Musicircus creates a cacophony of sound from hundreds of individual performers, sharing their own personal music without any structured collaboration with other performers. Visitors to this open festival of music then naturally tune in to specific performances that appeal to them, drawing together the sounds they prioritise to make a unique symphony in a quite remarkable natural phenomenon.

By creating a completely individual experience for everyone, Musicircus, more than any other event, can truly live up to the billing of offering not only something for everyone, but something that everyone wants. Free, and open to all, this is an event that allows each person to pick what they like, whether that is old favourites or new sounds of discovery. 

Not only is access to this event completely free and immersive, it also provides an unrivalled platform for musicians of all kinds to perform alongside one another, from schoolchildren through to seasoned professionals – all equally sharing the stage in this musical extravaganza.
